Grandpa and Nicholas

Roger has finally made it down to see his grandson and he brought lots of good luck along. Nicholas has moved out of an isolette and into a regular cot! Feeding tube is also gone so Jen is feeding on demand which all mothers know that she is close to him at all times. He loves feeding time and settles right down and falls asleep within ten minuets. Try and put him back in the cot, no can do, he wakes up and wants a bit more to eat! He is still not quite big enough to stay awake through an entire feeding. That will come in time.

Friday may be our next big event. The pediatrician has said Nicholas may get released to come home! We are still rushing around getting everything ready but we think we have all the necessary equipment to meet his needs. Rog has assembled a crib for upstairs, a swing for downstairs and a Fisher Price Snugabunny for fussy times. The latter made us all laugh when Rog finally got it assembled. It rocks the baby in two directions, it plays music, has a mobile and reflective mirror to entertain for hours.

Off to the hospital and our last before the games begin.
