Dis Dream is heading south!!

It has been way too long since Di's Dream has been out of the slip but Roger and I are soon to correct that problem. We will be heading down to the Half Moon Bay Yacht Club cruise out with the Oakland Yacht Club over the Labor Day weekend. That will just be the first leg of many over the next several years. We are heading south to the warmer waters and air temperatures of Mexico. Last winters rain and this summers unseasonably cool weather has convience us that we need to find a new home for Di's Dream.

After Half Moon Bay we will head to Monterey for a quick visit with Grandpa Don. He will be turning 95 on the same day we start the Ha Ha--sorry dad but we will not be coming by for lunch that day. Roger's mother is turning 90 while we are heading to Cabo--going to miss that celebration too...

We have been very busy this past month getting the boat ready. Bottom paint was done last week, we are trying a new kind that will allow Rog to clean it with a very soft rag. Jeff Chessher donated a Hooka for just this job so it will be going to good use very soon. The freezer has been completely re-insulated so that we can maintain the temperature while in warmer waters. Hopefully the solar will keep up with amperage, if not we turn on the genset!! Where there is a will there is a way.

But it will clean up with a little pressure wash

All ready for the paint

Checking  the prop is easier when it is out of the water
